Deletion of TFO and addition of CHAN-TV - Approved
1. Following Public Notice CRTC 1997-128 dated 16 October 1997, the Commission approves the application by Fiber-Tel Enterprises Inc. (Fiber-Tel) to change the authorized distribution of the radiocommunication distribution undertaking serving Kakabeka Falls, by deleting the programming service of La Chaîne française (now TFO) and by adding the programming service of CHAN-TV Vancouver, received via Cancom.
2. In support of this request, Fiber-Tel stated that, because of recent increases in the cost of basic programming services, its programming expenditures have increased significantly. Fiber-Tel claimed that the addition of CHAN-TV will enable the applicant to benefit from Cancom's reduced rate card and thereby realize substantial savings.
