Decision

Ottawa, 22 October 1997
Decision CRTC 97-600
Radio communautaire du Saguenay inc.
Administrative renewal for CKAJ-FM
1. For administrative reasons, the Commission renews the broadcasting licence for CKAJ-FM Jonquière (formerly CHOC-FM), from 1 March 1998 to 31 August 1998, subject to the terms and conditions in effect under the current licence.
2. The Commission notes that the station has only been back in operation since June 1997. This administrative renewal will thus enable the Commission, among other things, to proceed with the assessment of the licensee's compliance with the Radio Regulations, 1986.
3. This decision does not in any manner dispose of the licence renewal application, nor of any relevant matters before the Commission in connection with that application. The Commission will dispose of the application, and all other relevant matters in connection with the application, in a subsequent decision.
This decision is to be appended to the licence.
