Decision CRTC 97-154
Niagara Television Limited
Muskoka, Ontario - 199700464
Increase in power for CHCH-TV-3
Following Public Notice CRTC 1997-22 dated 28 February 1997, the Commission approves the application to amend the broadcasting licence for CHCH-TV Hamilton, by increasing the effective radiated power of CHCH-TV-3 Muskoka, from 702,000 watts to 757,000 watts and by changing the authorized transmitter site from a tower that was to have been built by the licensee in Severn Township, to an existing tower owned by Global Communications Limited near Bala, Ontario.
The Commission notes that as a result of these changes, although there will be some changes in the grade A and grade B coverage contours, the facility should provide essentially the same service as originally approved.
The Commission hereby authorizes the licensee to operate the undertaking on the basis of the contours and particulars resulting from the above-mentioned changes.
This decision is to be appended to the licence.
