Following a Public Hearing in Montréal beginning on 24 February 1997, the Commission approves the application for authority to acquire the assets of the cable distribution undertaking serving Saint-Damase-de-l'Islet from Raymond Vachon, doing business under the style of "Câblo-Vision Saint-Damase-de-l'Islet enr.", and for a broadcasting licence to continue the operation of this undertaking.
