Further to its Public Notice CRTC 1996-46 dated 27 March 1996, the Commission announces the following:

The licensee has requested a condition of licence, pursuant to section 12 of the Cable Television Regulations, 1986, to be relieved of the requirement to distribute the signal of CHCH-TV (IND) Hamilton, Ontario on an unrestricted channel.
|
|
The licensee indicates that should the quality of the signal deteriorate significantly, it will undertake immediate corrective action including, if necessary, the distribution of the service on another channel.
|
|
The licensee has requested a condition of licence, pursuant to section 9 of the Cable Television Regulations, 1986, to be relieved of the requirement to distribute CFTO-TV (CTV), Toronto, Ontario on the basic band (channels 2 to 13). The licensee will continue to distribute this service as part of the basic service.
