Distribution of community programming on a restricted channel - Application denied
Following Public Notice CRTC 1995-187 dated 3 November 1995, the Commis- sion denies the application to amend the broadcasting licence for the cable distri- bution undertaking serving the commu- nities noted above, for relief by condition of licence, from the requirement of sec- tion 12 of the Cable Television Regula- tions, 1986 that it distribute community programming on an unrestricted channel.
Based on the evidence available to it, the Commission considers that the licensee has not provided sufficient reason to justify an exemption from this regulatory requirement. Therefore, it expects the licensee to conti- nue to distribute its community program- ming on an unrestricted channel.
