Licence amendment
Following Public Notice CRTC 1996-103 dated 18 July 1996, the Commission approves the application to amend the licence for the radiocommunication distribution undertaking serving Canning and surrounding areas:
-  by deleting the distribution of WTOL-TV (CBS) Toledo, Ohio and WDIV (NBC) Detroit, Michigan and replacing them with WBZ (CBS) and WHDH (NBC) Boston, Massachusetts; and
-  by adding transmitters for the distribution, in encrypted mode, of the following programming services:
The Discovery Channel
CBC Newsworld
WCVB-TV (ABC) Boston, Massachusetts
The Arts & Entertainment Network (A&E)
WSBK-TV Boston, Massachusetts
WTBS Atlanta, Georgia
The Commission notes that the licensee also distributes, in encrypted mode, the following programming services:
EPG - Program Guide, Mississauga
WUHF-TV (FOX) Rochester, New York
WTVS (PBS) Detroit, Michigan
The Sports Network
Atlantic Satellite Network (ASN)
The Family Channel
The Nashville Network (TNN)
The licensee is authorized to distribute these programming services on channels 14, 16, 22, 24, 26, 30, 33, 35, 39, 41, 43, 49, 53, 57 and 59, each with a transmitter power of 16 watts.
This decision is to be appended to the licence.
