Decision

Ottawa, 21 October 1996
Decision CRTC 96-698
WIC Radio Ltd. (formerly Westcom Radio Group Ltd.)
Winnipeg, Manitoba - 199606729
Network licence renewal
Following Public Notice CRTC 1996-90 dated 21 June 1996, the Commission renews the licence for the English-language AM radio network for the purpose of broadcasting all of the football games of the Winnipeg Blue Bombers for the 1996 to 2001 seasons of the Canadian Football League.
The Commission will issue a network licence expiring at the end of the 2001 football season, subject to the conditions specified in the licence to be issued.
Affiliates of the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation carrying broadcasts of the games must ensure that their network affiliation agreements are respected, and that any rescheduling of CBC programs affected by the broadcasts in question is acceptable to the Corporation.
This decision is to be appended to the licence.
