Acquisition of shares

Following Public Notice CRTC
1995-164 dated 3 October 1995, the Commission approves the application by Cathton Holdings Ltd. (Cathton) for authority to acquire 9,100 (1%) common shares in WIC Western International Communications Ltd. (WIC). As a result of this transaction, Cathton will increase its voting interest in WIC from 29% to 30%. |
WIC is the parent company of several licensee companies including Westcom TV Group Ltd. and Westcom Radio Group Ltd. The Commission notes that this transaction does not alter the effective control of WIC.
