Decision

Ottawa, 12 June 1996
Decision CRTC 96-222
Jacques Poirier
Trinité-des-Monts, Quebec - 951900000
Licence renewal
Following Public Notice CRTC 1996-13 dated 19 January 1996, the Commission renews the licence held byJacques Poirier, for the cable distribution undertaking serving Trinité-des-Monts, from 1 September 1996 to 31 August 2003
The operation of this undertaking is regulated pursuant to Parts I, III and IV of the Cable Television Regulations, 1986 (the regulations) and the licence will be subject to the conditions in effect under the current licence, as well as to those conditions specified in this decision and in the licence to be issued.
Consistent with Decision CRTC 93-676 dated 22 November 1993, it is a condition of licence that the licensee be relieved of the requirement that it distribute at least four television programming services as provided for in section 23 of the regulations, so long as it distributes only those U.S. television services listed in the current application or as may be authorized by the Commission.
In Public Notice CRTC 1992-59 dated 1 September 1992 and entitled "Imple-mentation of an Employment Equity Policy", the Commission announced that the
employment equity practices of broadcasters would be subject to examination by the Commission. In this regard, the Commission encourages the licensee to consider employment equity issues in its hiring practices and in all other aspects of its management of human resources.
This decision is to be appended to the licence.
