Decision

Ottawa, 7 May 1996
Decision CRTC 96-122
Cap-de-la-Madeleine (Québec) - 952332500
Addition of CFTU-TV
Following Public Notice CRTC 1996-29 dated 23 February 1996, the Commission approves, by condition of licence, the application for authority to distribute the distant signal CFTU-TV (IND) Montréal, received via telecommunications, as part of the basic service of the cable distribution undertaking serving Cap-de-la-Madeleine.
The Commission is satisfied that the distribution of CFTU-TV is in line with the guidelines on the cable distribution of distant Canadian television signals first set out in Public Notice CRTC 1985-61 and reiterated in Public Notice CRTC 1993-74. It is further satisfied that the distribution of CFTU--TV will enhance the choice of French-language programming services offered to subscribers.
This decision is to be appended to the licence.
 Allan J. Darling
 Secretary General
