Decision

Ottawa, 12 April 1996
Decision CRTC 96-109
Craig Hutscal
Grande Prairie, Alberta - 952841500
 Special event licence
Following a Public Hearing in Vancouver beginning on 27 February 1996, the Commission approves the application for a broadcasting licence for an English- and French-language FM radio pro- gramming undertaking at Grande Prairie, on the frequency 95.5 MHz, (channel 238VLP), with an effective radiated power of 10 watts, to broad- cast non-commercial programming associated with the "March for Jesus" on 25 May 1996.
The Commission will issue a licence in effect only for the duration of the event on 25 May 1996, subject to the conditions specified in the licence to be issued. Material broadcast will include a pre-recorded musical script.
The Department of Industry has advised the Commission that this application is conditionally technically acceptable, and that a Broadcasting Certificate will only be issued once it has been determined that the proposed technical parameters will not create any unacceptable interference with aeronautical NAV/COM services.
In accordance with subsection 22(1) of the Broadcasting Act, the Commission will only issue the licence, and the authority will only
be granted, at such time as written notification is received from the Department of Industry that its technical requirements have been met, and that a Broadcasting Certificate will be issued.
This decision is to be appended to the licence.
 Allan J. Darling
 Secretary General
