The applicant states that CHXL-FM has been operating with a reduced power and coverage area since 1988 due to transmitter site problems and that the proposed changes will allo the station to provide service to its primary coverage area.

Application (941084600) by the CANADIAN BROADCASTING CORPORATION, to amend the broadcasting licence of the (television) programming undertaking CBOFT Ottawa, Ontario by changing the transmitting channel of its retransmitter CBLFT-24 Dubreuilville, from 7 to 11.
The Canadian Broadcasting Corporation has indicated that this change will improve the quality of service to the Dubreuilville area, by avoiding possible interference with the signal of CHBX-TV-1 Wawa, Ontario.

Application (941619900) by ORANGEVILLE CABLE-VU LIMITED, P.O. Box 56, Orangeville, Ontario, L9W 2Z5, licensee of the (cable) distribution undertaking serving Erin, Hillsburgh, and parts of Caledon, to change the authorized service area by extending it to include an area to the north section of the Town of Caledon as well as the Township of East Garafraxa and Township of Erin which surround the villages of Erin and Hillsburgh. Specifically, the proposed extension is bounded by Highway 9 and Orangeville on the north; Centreville Creek Road on the east; Old Church Road, Caledon East, Olde Baseline Road to Highway 10, Caledon Village, Highway 24 to Porterfield Road, Highpoint Road, Winston Churchill Boulevard and the Erin Township-Halton Hills boundary on the south; Erin Township-Eramosa Township boundary and the East Garafraxa-West Garafraxa Township boundary on the west.
The applicant states this proposal would allow them to serve the Hamlets of Brisbane, Lake Roman, Cedar Valley, Orton, Marsville, Garafraxa Estates, Tamarack Estates, Melville and the built-up but unnamed areas surrounding Erin, Hillsburgh and Caledon.
