Application (951296300) by CHUM LIMITED, 1331 Yonge Street, Toronto, Ontario, M4T 1Y1, to amend the broadcasting licence of the (radio) programming undertaking CJCH Halifax, by adding the following conditions of licence in response to Public Notice CRTC 1993-5 dated 29 January 1993 - CHANGES TO THE CONTENT REQUIREMENTS FOR CANADIAN MUSIC ON RADIO:
- in those periods of category 2 music consisting exclusively of music composed before 1956, the Canadian content level is not less than 2% on a weekly basis; and
- in those periods of category 2 music consisting of 90% or more, but not exclusively, of music composed before 1956, the Canadian content level is not less than 10% on a weekly basis.

Application (952306900) by OMER CLOUTIER to amend the broadcasting licence of the (cable) distribution undertaking serving Mont-Saint-Pierre, by adding a condition of licence:
- to be relieved from the requirement that it distribute the local signals CBGAT-4 (SRC) Mont-Louis, CBGAT-10 (SRC) Mont-Louis-en-Haut, CBGAT-11 (SRC) Sainte-Anne-des-Monts and CBGAT-13 (SRC) Rivière-à-Claude, Quebec. The licensee proposes instead to distribute the signal of CBST (SRC) Sept-Iles, Quebec, received off-air, pursuant to paragraph 22(1)(a) of the Cable Television Regulations, 1986;
- to be relieved from the requirement that it distribute at least four television programming services delivered to its local head end by a network operator licensed to extend television and radio services to remote and underserved communities, at least one of which must be a Canadian programming service, pursuant to section 23 of the Cable Television Regulations, 1986; and
- to be authorized to distribute on the basic service, the signals of TVOntario (La Chaîne française) and CFJP-TV (TQS) Montréal, Quebec, received via satellite.

Application (952313500) by 2971-6214 QUÉBEC INC., 515 - 9th Avenue, Saint-Zacharie, Quebec, G0M 2C0, to amend the broadcasting lience of the (cable) distribution undertaking serving Sainte-Rose-de-Watford, by deleting from the authorized service area, an area located northwest of Sainte-Rose-de-Watford along highway 277/204 towards Lac de la Vase.
The applicant has stated that the low rate of potential subscribers together with the high renting cost of the support structures were a factor in abandonning construction in this area. It is to be noted that the area to be deleted from the authorized service area amount to 12 households.

Application (951952100) by VIDÉOTRON LTÉE to amend the broadcasting licence of the (cable) distribution undertaking serving Sherbrooke, by adding a condition of licence to be relieved from the requirement that the licensee shall not alter or curtail any programming service or radiocommunication in the course of its distribution except as required or authorized pursuant to a condition of its licence of these Regulations in accordance with subsection 19(a) of the Cable Television Regulations, 1986. The licensee proposes the distribution of the discretionary signal CJFM-FM Montréal, Quebec, without its subcarrier, delivered by optical fibre, for the Sherbrooke undertaking.

7. VAL-DES-MONTS, Quebec
Application (951596600) by TÉLÉCÂBLE PROVINCIAL INC., Suite 222, 3055 Wilfrid-Hamel Boulevard, Québec, Quebec, G1P 4C6, to amend the broadcasting licence of the (cable) distribution undertaking serving Val-des-Monts, as follows:
- by interconnecting the undertaking via optical fibre to the local head end of Laurentien Câble TV Inc., the (cable) distribution undertaking serving Hull, Aylmer and Gatineau, Quebec;
- by removing the local head end serving Val-des-Monts and to be relieved of the requirement to own and operate its personal local head end pursuant to Section 4 of the Cable Television Regulations, 1986;
- by being authorized to distribute on the basic service, the programming services of WOKR (ABC), WHEC-TV (NBC) WROC-TV (CBS) Rochester and WNPE-TV (PBS) Watertown, New York to be received by optical fibre;
- by being relieved from the requirement that it distribute the priority signals CICA-TV-24 (TVO) and CFMT-TV-2 Ottawa, Ontario, on the basic band (channels 2 to 13) pursuant to section 22 of the Cable Television Regulations, 1986. The licensee proposes to distribute these services on channels 22 and 14 respectively; and
- by being relieved from the requirement to distribute at least four television programming services delivered to its local head end by a network operator licensed to extend television and radio services to remote and underserved communities, at least one of which must be a Canadian programming service, pursuant to section 23 of the Cable Television Regulations, 1986.
The licensee proposes to add, on the basic service, the services of RDI, CBC Newsworld and Vision and to move the services of MusiquePlus, MétéoMédia, MuchMusic, The Sports Network (TSN) and Le Réseau des Sport (RDS) from the basic service to a discretionary tier. Consequently, the licensee proposes to lower the basic monthly fee for the new basic service by $1.77. The basic monthly fee will be reduced from $25.90 to $24.13.
