COMMISSION REQUEST FOR INFORMATION CONCERNING CABLE CHANNEL CAPACITY
The Commission has received the following applications:
ONTARIO REGION
1. ST. CATHARINES, Ontario
Applications (951615400, 941927600) by STANDARD RADIO INC. to amend the broadcasting licence of the (radio) programming undertaking CKTB St. Catharines, as follows:
a) by adding the following conditions of  licence as per Public Notice CRTC 1993-5 dated 29 January 1993 entitled "Changes to the Content Requirements for Canadian Music on Radio":
- in those periods of category 2 music consisting exclusively of music composed before 1956, the Canadian content level is not less than 2% on a weekly basis;
- in those periods of category 2 music consisting of 90% or more, but not exclusively, of music composed before 1956, the Canadian content level shall be not less than 10% on a weekly basis; and
b) by adding a condition of licence authorizing the licensee to broadcast a minimum weekly ethnic programming level of 25% up to a maximum of 40%. The following conditions of licence would also be adopted:
- to provide a weekly minimum amount of type A ethnic programming of 32 hours; and
- to provide programming to be directed to a minimum of 4 cultural groups in a minimum of 4 different languages.

Intervention

- your intervention should clearly identify the application and indicate whether you support or oppose the application, or if you propose changes to it, with facts and grounds therefor. In the event that the application is brought to the oral phase of a hearing it would be helpful to the Commission if you would provide reasons why your written comments are not sufficient and an appearance is necessary;
- a true copy MUST be sent to the applicant and a proof of such sending must accompany the original sent to the Commission;
- the intervention must be received by the CRTC and by the applicant ON OR BEFORE the deadline date indicated below. The Commission cannot be held responsible for postal delays;
