Application (951262500) by WESTCOM RADIO GROUP, Suite 1960, 505 Burrard Street, Vancouver, British Columbia, V7X 1M6, on behalf of CKIK-FM Limited ("CKIK Ltd.") for authority to transfer the effective control of CKIK Ltd., through the sale of all of the issued and outstanding shares of the company, held by various shareholders, to Westcom Radio Group Ltd.

As a result of this transaction, CKIK-FM Limited will be effectively owned and controlled by Westcom Radio Group Ltd. which is a wholly owned subsidiary of WIC Western International Communications Ltd. ("WIC").

Application (950372300) by ELECTROHOME LIMITED, P.O. Box 5030, Postal Station 'E', Edmonton, Alberta, T5P 4C2, to amend the broadcasting licence of the (television) programming undertaking CFRN-TV Edmonton, Alberta and its transmitter by decreasing the effective radiated power of CFRN-TV-12 Athabasca, from 4,000 to 1,800 watts. The licensee also proposes to increase the height of the transmitting antenna from 65.6 to 96 metres.

The licensee states that the changes are necessary for safety and efficiency reasons.
|
The Commission notes that the coverage will be essentially the same as authorized and that the grade B contour of CITV-TV Edmonton will be protected.
