Telecom Order CRTC 95-756
IN THE MATTER OF an application by MT&T Advanced Communications dated 24 March 1995 for a contribution exemption with respect to certain dedicated data circuits leased from Maritime Tel & Tel Limited (MT&T).
WHEREAS, as part of its application, MT&T Advanced Communications filed an affidavit attesting that the company would only resell data services and that no switched voice services would be provided;
WHEREAS, by letter dated 7 April 1995, MT&T indicated that it did not object to the application;
WHEREAS the Commission notes that pursuant to Resale and Sharing of Private Line Service, Telecom Decision CRTC 90-3, 1 March 1990, affiliates of the telephone companies are not prohibited from reselling data services; and
WHEREAS the Commission is of the view that the application meets the Commission's evidentiary requirements as set out in Applications for Contribution Exemptions, Telecom Decision CRTC 93-2, 1 April 1993 -
IT IS ORDERED THAT:
The application of MT&T Advanced Communications is approved.
