The Commission will hold a public hearing commencing on 7 November 1995, at the Ramada Hotel, 708 - 8 Avenue South West, Calgary, Alberta, to consider the following:
WESTERN CANADA AND TERRITORIES REGION 
1. BUSHE RIVER, Alberta
Application (951369800) by DEDILEA SHIH COMMUNICATIONS SOCIETY, General Delivery, High Level, Alberta, T0H 1Z0, for authority to acquire the assets of the rebroadcasting transmitter VF2177 Bushe River and for a broadcasting licence to carry on an English- and Native-language FM type A (native radio) programming undertaking at Bushe River, operating on a frequency of 89.9 MHz (channel 210LP) with an effective radiated power of 10 watts to broadcast locally-produced programming as well as the programs of CFWE-FM Lac La Biche, Alberta, upon surrender of the current authority granted to the Aboriginal Multi-Media Society of Alberta.
The Aboriginal Multi-Media Society of Alberta is currently licensed to operate the transmitter VF2177 Bushe River and has indicated that it will surrender their authority for the above-mentionned transmitter should the Commission approve this application.

Application (941542300) by TOUCH CANADA BROADCASTING INC., 10250 - 108 Street, Edmonton, Alberta, T5J 2X3, for a broadcasting licence to carry on an English-language FM (radio) programming undertaking at Calgary, operating on a frequency of 103.1 MHz (channel 276C) with an effective radiated power of 45,300 watts to broadcast in the specialty format Gospel Music.
The Commission notes that this application is technically mutually exclusive with a competing application (951600600) for Calgary for the 103.1 MHz frequency by Thomas Fung and Roger Charest (on behalf of a company to be incorporated).
The Commission will only proceed with this application at the public hearing if advised by the Department of Industry, at least ten days prior to the hearing, that it is technically acceptable.

Application (951600600) by THOMAS FUNG AND ROGER CHAREST, on behalf of a company to be incorporated, 6005 - 103 Street, Edmonton, Alberta, T6H 2H3, for a broadcasting licence to carry on a Group III (Specialty) FM (ethnic radio) programming undertaking at Calgary, operating on a frequency of 103.1 MHz (channel 276C) with an effective radiated power of 59,100 watts.
The Commission notes that this application is technically mutually exclusive with a competing application (941542300) for Calgary for the 103.1 MHz frequency by Touch Canada Broadcasting Inc.
The Commission will only proceed with this application at the public hearing if advised by the Department of Industry, at least ten days prior to the hearing, that it is technically acceptable.

RADIO GROUP LTD. for a broadcasting licence to carry on an English-language FM (radio) programming undertaking at Grande Prairie, operating on a frequency of 97.7 MHz (channel 249C) with an effective radiated power of 70,000 watts, upon surrender of the current licence of CFGP Grande Prairie.
The applicant has advised that, should the Commission approve the application, it proposes to simulcast with CFGP for a period of up to 6 months following implementation of the FM station.
The Commission will only proceed with this application at the public hearing if advised by the Department of Industry, at least ten days prior to the hearing, that it is technically acceptable.

Application (941921900) by GOLDEN WEST BROADCASTING LTD., P.O. Box 950, Altona, Manitoba, R0G 0B0, to amend the broadcasting licence of the (radio) programming undertaking CHRB High River as follows:
- by increasing the day-time transmitter power from 10,000 to 50,000 watts and the night-time transmitter power from 10,000 to 46,000 watts;
- by changing the frequency from 1,280 kHz to 1,140 kHz; and
- by relocating the transmitter from the present site near Cayley to a site near Shepard, Alberta.

Applications (951173400, 951174200) by the CANADIAN BROADCASTING CORPORATION, on behalf of Parks Canada, for broadcasting licences to carry on an English and a French-language (radio) programming undertaking at Waterton Lakes National Park (Red Rock Campsite), operating on the frequencies of 88.3 MHz (channel 202LP) for the English transmitter and 90.7 MHz (channel 214LP) for the French transmitter with an effective radiated power of 39 watts for each transmitter.
These transmitters would broadcast natural and cultural history information and up to date traffic control reports to park visitors during the summer months.
The Commission will only proceed with these applications at the public hearing if advised by the Department of Industry, at least ten days prior to the hearing, that they are technically acceptable.

The applicant proposes to charge a monthly fee of $35.00 for the distribution of the basic service. Pursuant to the provisions for (radiocommunication) distribution undertakings (MDS) published in Public Notice 1993-76, this fee will not be regulated by the Commission.
The Commission will only proceed with this application at the public hearing if advised by the Department of Industry, at least ten days prior to the hearing, that acceptable technical documentation has been filed with the Department.
