New radio network
|
|
Following a Public Hearing in Winnipeg held on 5 June 1995, the Commission approves the application by Westcom Radio Group Ltd. for an English-language radio network licence for the purpose of broadcasting all pre-season, regular and play-off football games of the Calgary Stampeders for the 1995, 1996, 1997 and 1998 seasons of the Canadian Football League.

The Commission will issue a network licence expiring at the end of the 1998 football season, subject to the conditions specified in the licence to be issued.

Any affiliates of the CBC carrying broadcasts of the games must ensure that their network affiliation agreement is respected, and that any rescheduling of CBC programs affected by the broadcasts in question is acceptable to the CBC.
