Decision

Ottawa, 26 April 1995
Decision CRTC 95-182
South Cariboo Communities Resource Board
Canim Lake, British Columbia - 940674500
New television programming undertaking
Following a Public Hearing in the National Capital Region held on 21 February 1995, the Commission approves the application for a broadcasting licence for an English and Native-language television programming undertaking at Canim Lake, operating on channel 9, with a transmitter power of 6 watts, to broadcast some locally-produced programming as well as the programming of the CBC Northern Television Service.
The Commission will issue a licence expiring 31 August 1998, subject to the conditions specified in the licence to be issued.
The licence term granted herein, while less than the maximum of seven years permitted by the
Broadcasting Act, will enable the Commission to consider the renewal of this licence in accordance with the Commission's regional plan for Native television undertakings across Canada and to better distribute the Commission's workload.
Allan J. Darling
Secretary General
