Decision

Ottawa, 21 April 1995
Decision CRTC 95-158
Bragg Communications Incorporated
Nictaux and Nictaux Falls, Nova Scotia - 931304000
Licence amendment
Following Public Notice CRTC 1995-12 dated 24 January 1995, the Commission approves the application to amend the licence for the cable distribution undertaking serving Nictaux and Nictaux Falls by authorizing the licensee to delete the local head end at Nictaux and to interconnect the Nictaux undertaking with the undertaking serving Kingston.
In addition, the licensee is authorized to distribute the programming service of CFJP-TV (TQS) Montréal as part of the basic service of the undertaking serving Nictaux. The Commission is satisfied that the distribution of CFJP-TV is in line with the guidelines on the cable distribution of distant Canadian television signals first set out in Public Notice CRTC 1985-61 and reiterated in Public Notice CRTC 1993-74. It is further satisfied that the distribution of CFJP-TV will enhance the choice of French-language programming services offered to subscribers.
