STENTOR RESOURCE CENTRE INC. - SYNCHRONOUS OPTICAL NETWORK FOR TELEGLOBE
Reference: Tariff Notice 12
The Commission has received an application from Stentor Resource Centre Inc. (Stentor), dated 31 January 1994, on behalf of Bell Canada (Bell), Maritime Telegraph and Telephone Company Limited (MT&T) and The New Brunswick Telephone Company Limited (NBTel). The application is for approval of a Special Facilities Tariff to provide a large capacity network for Teleglobe Canada Inc. This network would employ Synchronous Optical Network (Sonet) matched node technology and would consist of Sonet self-healing fibre rings. The proposed service would be used to provide international telecommunications services in conjunction with the new CANTAT-3 transatlantic cable and with existing facilities.
Stentor's application also includes a proposed contract between Stentor and Teleglobe setting out additional terms and conditions relating to the proposed service.
