The Commission has received applications from AGT Limited (AGT), BC TEL, Bell Canada (Bell), The Island Telephone Company Limited, Maritime Tel & Tel Limited, The New Brunswick Telephone Company Limited and Newfoundland Telephone Company Limited for approval of tariff revisions providing for CCS7 links between Stentor gateway Signalling Transfer Points (STPs) and the switches of alternate providers of long distance services. CCS7 links are currently provided between Stentor gateway STPs in Bell and AGT territory and the STPs of alternate service providers.
AGT and Bell state that the proposed rates associated with the CCS7 links would recover the costs of connecting alternate service providers to Stentor gateway STPs, as well as the costs associated with operations and translations.
