BELL CANADA - REVISED RATES FOR LOCAL CHANNELS

The Commission has received an application from Bell Canada (Bell), dated 25 February 1994, for approval of tariff revisions related to the provision of local channels.
|
In its application, Bell proposes a two-step increase in the monthly rates for local channels. The first increase, averaging 20%, would take effect 16 May 1994; the second, averaging a further 18%, would take effect 16 May 1995. Bell also proposes to modify the existing rate structure. Among other things, the company proposes the removal of discount schedules for voice grade channels between buildings on different properties.
