Decision

Ottawa, 21 November 1994
Decision CRTC 94-879
Regional Cable TV (Central) Inc. (formerly Câble Télé Plus Québec 1 Inc.)
Sainte-Angèle-de-Prémont, Quebec - 941218000

Licence amendment

Pursuant to Public Notice CRTC 1994-112 dated 31 August 1994, the Commission approves, by condition of licence, the application to be relieved from the requirement of paragraph 22(1)(a) of the Cable Television Regulations, 1986 to distribute the local signal of CIVC-TV (SRTQ) Trois-Rivières on the basic service of the cable distribution undertaking serving Sainte-Angèle-de-Prémont. The licensee will distribute instead the signal of the Société de radio-télévision du Québec (SRTQ) delivered by satellite from Montréal.
The Commission, in arriving at its decision, has taken into account the licensee's argument that the signal of CIVC-TV is of poor quality.
The Commission acknowledges the opposing intervention filed by the SRTQ and is satisfied with the licensee's reply to the intervention.
Allan J. Darling
Secretary General
