Licence renewal for CFNC
Pursuant to Public Notice CRTC 1994-38 dated 30 March 1994, the Commission renews the broadcasting licence for CFNC Cross Lake, from 1 September 1994 to 31 August 1999, subject to the conditions in effect under the current licence, as well as to those conditions specified in the licence to be issued. This term will enable the Commission to consider the renewal of this licence at the same time as that of other native radio programming undertakings across Canada.
The Commission notes that CFNC will broadcast 123 hours and 15 minutes of programming per week, of which 60 hours will be local programming; 118 hours and 15 minutes will be broadcast in the Cree language and the remaining 5 hours in English.
The Commission notes that this station is a Type A native radio station in accordance with Public Notice CRTC 1990-89 dated 20 September 1990 entitled "Native Broadcasting Policy".
