The Commission has received the following applications:

Application (920733300) by the CANADIAN BROADCASTING CORPORATION to amend the broadcasting licence to carry on the (radiocommunication) distribution undertaking for CBNT-21 Cartwright, as follows:
|
|
- by increasing the transmitter power from 8.9 to 10 watts; and
|
|
- by relocating the transmitter from the Newfoundland Telephone site located approximately 4 kilometres out of town to the existing AM facilities site at Cartwright.

Application (920597200) by the SHESHATSHIT RADIO SOCIETY, General Delivery, Northwest River (Labrador), Newfoundland, A0P 1M0, to amend the broadcasting licence to carry on the (radio) programming undertaking for CJIK-FM Sheshatsheits, by increasing the transmitter power from 1 to 10 watts.

The applicant states that the change would provide better quality service to the entire community.
