REVOCATION OF THE LICENCES FOR THE CABLE DISTRIBUTION UNDERTAKINGS AUTHORIZED TO SERVE BRIGDEN; CEDAR BEACH/CEDARHURST/CEDAR ISLAND/MAPLE GROVE/WATERS BEACH/LINDEN BEACH; COMBER; HIGHWAY 40 WEST OF WALLACEBURG; LYNDEN; MERLIN; PORT LAMBTON/ SOMBRA/WHITEBREAD BEACH/ECART MARINA; PRINCETON; SOUTH WOODSLEE/ NORTH WOODSLEE; ST. JOACHIM/ DEERBROOK/STONEY POINT AND BEACHES; GREENBANK; KEENE; LAKEVIEW ESTATES; LISLE; PONTYPOOL; SEAGRAVE/ROBIN GLADE ESTATES; THORNDALE; ZEPHYR; ELGIN; LANSDOWNE; MOOSE CREEK; MOREWOOD; SEELEY'S BAY; VERNON; SPENCERVILLE; AND WILLIAMSBURG, ONTARIO, ISSUED TO 01 CABLESYSTEMS INC.
Cablesystems Inc. (01) has requested the revocation of its licences for the cable distribution undertakings authorized to serve the above-mentioned communities.
The licensee has advised that current economic conditions and other priorities for the application of their financial resources have prevented it from commencing or completing construction of these systems.
In view of the licensee's request and pursuant to paragraph 9(1)(e) and subsection 24(1) of the Broadcasting Act, the Commission hereby revokes the licences issued to 01 for the above-mentioned undertakings.
