Green Lake Radio and Television Broadcasting Society Inc.

Following a Public Hearing in the National Capital Region held on 30 November 1992, the Commission approves the application for authority to acquire the assets of CHGL-FM Green Lake from Green Lake Broadcasting Society, and for a broadcasting licence to continue the operation of this undertaking.
The Commission will issue to Green Lake Radio and Television Broadcasting Society Inc., a licence for a Type A FM native radio undertaking expiring 31 August 1999, upon surrender of the current licence. The licence will be subject to the same conditions as those specified in the current licence as well as to any other condition specified in the licence to be issued.
The Commission is of the view that approval of this application is in the public interest.
The Commission notes that CHGL-FM will broadcast 30 hours of weekly programming, including 6 hours of local production. The languages broadcast will be Cree (10 hours weekly) and English (20 hours weekly).
