Applications (920998200, 920999000, 930225800, 930226600, 930227400) by the CANADIAN BROADCASTING CORPORATION to amend the broadcasting licences to carry on the (radiocommunication) distribution undertakings for CBYT-3 Bonne Bay, CBYT-6 Cow Head, CBYT-7 Trout River, CBYT-8 Portland Creek and CBYT-9 Hawkes Bay, by changing the program source from CBYT Corner Brook, Newfoundland to the CBC Northern Television Service and CBNT St. John's, Newfoundland.
The Corporation proposes to change the program feed of CBYT-3 Bonne Bay from a common carrier to a satellite feed and that of CBYT-6 Cow Head from an off-air to a satellite feed. This service will then be provided off-air to CBYT-7, CBYT-8 and CBYT-9.

a) to amend the broadcasting licences to carry on the (cable) distribution undertaking serving the above-mentioned localities, as follows:
- by adding a condition of licence relieving the licensee from the requirement of Section 23 of the Cable Television Regulations, 1986 to carry four CANCOM signals, on the basic service, for Allardville, Big River, Caraquet, Centreville, Florenceville, Jacquet River, Lakeville, Miscou Centre, Perth-Andover, Plaster Rock, Salmon Beach, Shippegan, South Tetagouche, Temperance Vale, Tracadie/Neguac and Carleton; and
- by adding a condition of licence relieving the licensee from the requirement of Section 25 of the Cable Television Regulations, 1986 not to alter or curtail any programming service or radiocom-munication for Allardville, Big River, Caraquet, Jacquet River, Lakeville, Miscou Centre, Salmon Beach, Shippegan, South Tetagouche, Tracadie/Neguac and Carleton.
b) for authority to delete the local head ends and interconnect all systems of the St. John River Valley to the Woodstock (Class 2) system and delete the local head ends and interconnect all systems of the Northern N.B. and Acadian Peninsula to the Bathurst (Class 1) system;
c) for authority to replace the 3+1 Detroit, Michigan signals with WVII-TV (ABC), WABI-TV (CBS) Bagor, WLBZ-TV (NBC) Calais and WMEM-TV (PBS) Presque Isle, Maine for Allardville, Bathurst, Big River, Campbellton, Caraquet, Centreville, Dalhousie, Florenceville, Jacquet River, Lakeville, Miscou Centre, Nackawic, Perth-Andover, Plaster Rock, Salmon Beach, Shippegan, South Tetagouche, Temperance Vale, Tracadie/Neguac and Carleton; and
d) for authority to redefine its presently authorized service areas for the following communities which would extend the service to some areas summarized as follows for:
 Allardville - to the northwest of Allardville joining with the Bathurst Service area;
 Bathurst - to the west of Bathurst to include areas known as South Tetagouche, Val-Michaud, Sormany, Alcida and Belledune Station;
 Should the Commission approve the amalgamation of South Tetagouche with the Bathurst system by way of an extension of service area hereby being proposed, Cable 2000 Inc. will surrender the broadcas-ting licence granted in Decision CRTC 1990-14 dated 15 January 1990.
 Big River - to the south of Blue Mountain Settlement to an area as far as Pabineau Island;
 Campbellton - to include areas known, to the east, as Lac-des-Lys and to the north, as Broadlands;
 Caraquet - to redefine its presently authorized service area;
 Centreville - to the east of Centreville to include an area known as Hunters Corner and, to the south of Highway 560, following Highway 560 approxi-mately 1500 metres (approx. 1 mile); Dalhousie - to redefine its presently authorized service area;
 Florenceville - to the west on highway 110 to joint with the boundaries of Centreville;
 to the east of Bristol to include areas known as Fielding and Gordonsville;
 to the northeast of an area called Bath to include areas known as Haley Corner and Gibberson Settlement;
 to the north to include an area known as Tarrtown;
 to the northwest on Highway 105 approximately 2000 metres (approx. 11/2 mile);
 Jacquet River - to the south of Jacquet River to include areas known as Becketville, Mitchell Settlement, Archibald Settlement and Sunnyside;
 to the west of Highway 134 to Benjamin River;
 Lakeville - to the north on Highway 560 to interconnect with the Centreville system which will include areas known as Williamstown and Bradley Corner;
 Miscou Centre - to the south on Highway 113 to include Miscou Harbour;
 Nackawic - to the southwest of Nackawic on Highway 105 past Southampton approximately 1900 metrees (approx. 11/4 mile);
 to the southeast of Nackawic on Highway 105 past Upper Queensbury approximatively 2250 metres (approx. 13/4 mile);
 Perth-Andover - to extend service on Highway 2 approximately 3000 metres (approx. 2 miles);
 Plaster Rock - to the south to include an area known as Three Brooks Station;
 to the south on Highway 108 to include areas known as Linton Corner and Three Brooks;
 to the west to include areas known as Sisson and Sisson Ridge;
 Salmon Beach - to the northeast on Highway 11 to include areas known as Janeville, Clifton, Stonehaven, New Bandon and Pokeshaw;
 Shippegan - to extend the service area on the "Ile-Lamèque";
 Temperance Vale - - to the south to join with the Nackawic service area and include an area known as Rossville;
 to the south on Highway 605 to the Saint John River;
 to the north on Highway 605 approximately 500 metres (approx. 1/3 mile);
 Tracadie/Neguac - To the west of Haut-St-Isidore on Highway 360 to Bois-Gagnon;
 to the west of Covedel on Highway 445 to Fairisle (and part of Stymiest Road);
 to the northwest of Lower Neguac on Highway 460 to Highway 445;
 Woodstock - to the south of Woodstock to include areas known as Lower Woodstock, Indian Village, Bulls Creek, Dibblee and Teeds Mills;
 to the north of Woodstock on Highway 2 approximately 4500 metres (approx. 3 miles).
In its submission, the licensee stated that:
- the subscribers of the Part III systems would receive the same services as that of the Bathurst and Woodstock systems at no additional costs.
- It is not "...their intention to request any future increase under Section 18(6) or 18(8) by virtue of the integration contemplated in this application for the Bathurst Class 1 system or the three Class 2 systems (Campbellton, Dalhousie and Woodstock)."
