APPLICATIONS FOR AMENDMENTS CONCERNING (COMMERCIALS FM) RADIO PROGRAMMING UNDERTAKINGS

The Commission has received the following applications:

1. MASHAM (LA PÊCHE) AND AREAS, Quebec

Application (931903900) by CÂBLE TÉLÉ PLUS QUÉBEC 1 INC., 1730 Marie-Victorin, Suite 201, Longueuil, Quebec, J4G 1A5, to amend the broadcasting licence of the (cable) distribution undertaking serving Masham (La Pêche) and areas, by adding a condition of licence relieving the licensee from the requirement that it distribute the programming of The Sports Network (TSN), MuchMusic and WTVS (PBS) Detroit, Michigan, received from CANCOM, pursuant to the rules governing the distribution of programming services, as set out in Public Notice CRTC 1987-261 entitled "Distribution and Linkage Requirements", in compliance with subsection 10(2) of the Cable Television Regulations, 1986. The licensee proposes to distribute these services on the basic service.

Application (931774400) by CÂBLE TÉLÉ PLUS QUÉBEC 1 INC., 1730 Marie-Victorin, Suite 201, Longueuil, Quebec, J4G 1A5, to change the authorized service area of the (cable) distribution undertaking serving Saint-Hippolyte, by adding an area south of Les Hauteurs, including Lac Aubrisson and an area south of Lac Bleu, for a total of 140 additional households.

a) to amend the broadcasting licence of the (cable) distribution undertaking serving Saint-Hippolyte, by adding a condition of licence relieving the licensee from the requirement that it distribute the programming of The Sports Network (TSN), MuchMusic and WJBK-TV (CBS) Detroit, Michigan, received from CANCOM, pursuant to the rules governing the distribution of programming services, as set out in Public Notice CRTC 1987-261 entitled "Distribution and Linkage Requirements", in compliance with subsection 10(2) of the Cable Television Regulations, 1986. The licensee proposes to distribute these services on the basic service; and

b) to amend the broadcasting licence by adding a condition of licence relieving the licensee from the requirement of subparagraph 10(1)(g)(i) of the Cable Television Regulations, 1986 by allowing the licensee to distri-bute, at its option, WPTZ (NBC), WCFE-TV (PBS) Plattsburgh, New York; WVNY (ABC) and WCAX-TV (CBS) Burlington, Vermont, received off-air at its local head end. Each one of these signals is a second signal of American networks.
