Decision

Ottawa, 6 January 1993
Decision CRTC 93-7
Radio CHVD Inc.
Dolbeau and Saint-Félicien, Quebec - 920593100
Following a Public Hearing in the National Capital Region beginning on 21 September 1992, the Commission approves the application for authority to transfer effective control of the radio programming undertaking consisting of CHVD Dolbeau and its transmitter CHVD-1-FM Saint-Félicien, through the transfer of all the issued shares from Rosaire Leclerc (50%) and Gestion Stalnia Inc. (André Tremblay) (50%) to Holdco, a company to be incorporated. As a result of this transaction, effective control of the licensee will be held indirectly by Gestion Germaine Lévesque Inc. (50%) and Rosaire Leclerc and Gestion Stalnia Inc. (André Tremblay) (50%), on behalf of a company to be incorporated, who will become the shareholders of Holdco.
The Commission notes that this transaction is related to the approval of a new French-language FM radio programming undertaking at Alma, indirectly held by Holdco, a company to be incorporated, which is the subject of a separate decision released today (Decision CRTC 93-6). The Commission also notes that the operations of CHVD Dolbeau and CHVD-1-FM Saint-Félicien will not be affected further by the corporate restructuring which is the subject of Decisions CRTC 93-8 and 93-9 also released today.
The Commission acknowledges the intervention opposing this application submitted by the Syndicat des travailleurs et travailleuses de CFGT. The Commission also acknowledges the comments on this application submitted by the Syndicat des Travailleurs en Communication de CHVD and ad-hoc committee representing the major socio-economic organizations of the Lac Saint-Jean regional county municipality (MRC). The Commission notes the comments made at the public hearing by the licensee in response to these interventions.
