Pursuant to Public Notice CRTC 1992-8 dated 21 January 1992, the Commission renews the broadcasting licence for CKUJ-FM Kuujjuaq (Fort Chimo), from 1 September 1992 to 31 August 1999, subject to the conditions specified in this decision and in the licence to be issued.
The Commission notes that CKUJ-FM Kuujjuaq will broadcast 22 and one half hours per week of local programming in the Inuktitut language.
The Commission also notes that CKUJ-FM is a Type A FM native radio station in accordance with Public Notice CRTC 1990-89 dated 20 September 1990 entitled Native Broadcasting Policy.
The Commission notes the comments submitted by the Association québécoise de l'industrie du disque, du spectacle et de la vidéo.
