Pursuant to Public Notice CRTC 1992-9 dated 27 January 1992, the Commission approves, by condition of licence, the applications by Northern Cable Holdings Limited to distribute, at the licensee's option, WJBK-TV (CBS), WDIV (NBC) and WXYZ-TV (ABC) Detroit, Michigan, received via satellite from the CANCOM network, as part of the basic service of the cable distribution undertakings serving the communities noted in Section A.

The Commission also approves the applications to cease distribution of WIVB-TV (CBS), WGRZ-TV (NBC) Buffalo and WOKR (ABC) Rochester, New York, received via microwave, on the basic service of the undertakings serving the communities noted in Section A. In addition, the Commission approves, by condition of licence, the applications by Northern Cable Holdings Limited and Sudbury Cable Services Limited to distribute, at the licensees' option, WWUP-TV (CBS) Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan, received via microwave, and WDIV (NBC) Detroit, received via satellite from the CANCOM network, as part of the basic service of the cable distribution undertakings serving the communities noted in Section B.

The Commission also approves the applications to cease distribution of WIVB-TV (CBS) and WGRZ-TV (NBC) Buffalo, New York, received via microwave, on the basic service of the undertakings serving the communities noted in Section B.
|

The licensees have indicated to the Commission specific subscriber rate increases that they intend to implement after 1992, in relation to these applications. The Commission advises the licensees that the approval granted herein does not include concurrent authority for the implementation of any subscriber rate increases now or in the future. Furthermore, the Commission reminds the licensees that any increase in subscriber fees must be processed in accordance with the procedures set out in section 18 of the Cable Television Regulations, 1986.
