Application (920620200) by NEW GERMANY CABLEVISION LIMITED, R.R. #2, New Germany, Nova Scotia, B0R 1E0, licensee of the (cable) distribution undertaking serving the above-mentioned localities, for approval to transfer the effective control of the licensee through the transfer of 100% of the issued and outstanding common shares from Douglas A. Veinot (60%) and Peter J. Davies (40%) to Bragg Communications Incorporated.

The applicant states that this area has to be removed because of the impossibility to obtain, from the Department of Transport, a firm date for the proposed work to be done on Highway 170. Since the extension of the cable network cannot be done until the work on the highway is completed, the applicant prefers to withdraw its request at this time, but intends to submit a new one to the Commission when the work is completed.

The applicant states that this increase in power will improve the service quality at Fort Fraser and vicinity.
|
If field tests demonstrate that the proposed power increase at Fort Fraser provides good coverage to the population presently covered by CBCB-TV-1 Vanderhoof, the Corporation would then undertake to close down the CBCB-TV-1 transmitter.
