The Commission has received the following applications:
1. MONTRÉAL, Quebec
Application (921028700) by LE RÉSEAU DES SPORTS (RDS) to amend the condition of licence requiring the licensee to charge the following wholesale rate per subscriber per month to each cable operator wishing to provide Le Réseau des Sports (RDS) on the basic service:
$1.21 from 01/09/92 to 31/08/93.
Further to agreements between the applicant (Le Réseau des Sports (RDS)), The Sports Network (TSN) and Câble Télé Plus Régional Inc., it is proposed to eliminate the wholesale rate normally charged to Câble Télé Plus Régional Inc. for the Sainte-Pétronille, Quebec area, and to replace it with a combined wholesale rate for RDS and TSN per subscriber per month as follows:
$1.50 from 01/09/92 to 31/08/93.

Application (920636800) by CABLE TÉLÉ PLUS RÉGIONAL INC., 1730 Marie-Victorin, Suite 201, Longueuil, Quebec, J4G 1A5, to amend the broadcasting licence to carry on its distribution undertaking (cable) serving the above-mentioned localities as follows:
a) by deleting the condition of licence allowing the licensee to distribute, at its option and as part of the basic service, the programming services of CFCF-TV (CTV), CFTM-TV (TVA), CFTU-TV (IND) Montréal, CHLT-TV (TVA) Sherbrooke, CKTM-TV (SRC) Trois-Rivières, Quebec; WCAX-TV (CBS), WVNY (ABC) Burlington, Vermont; WCFE-TV (PBS) and WPTZ (NBC) Plattsburg, New York, received via microwave from Inter-Vision (Montréal); and
b) to be relieved, by condition of licence, from the requirement to distribute The Sports Network (TSN); The Nashville Network (TNN); and signals received from CANCOM, namely WJBK-TV (CBS), WTVS (PBS), WXYZ-TV (ABC), WDIV (NBC) Detroit, Michigan and CHAN-TV (CTV) Vancouver, British Columbia, pursuant to the rules governing the distribution of these services, as outlined in Public Notice CRTC 1987-261 entitled "Distribution and Linkage Requirements", pursuant to paragraph 10(2) of the Cable Television Regulations, 1986. The licensee proposes to distribute these services on the basic service.

Application (920787900) by CFCN COMMUNICATIONS LIMITED (CFCN-TV), Broadcast House, Box 7060, Station E, Calgary, Alberta, T3C 3L9, to amend the broadcasting licence to carry on the (television) programming undertaking for CFCN-TV Calgary, to include the CFON-TV-1 transmitter at Oyen, Alberta (a rebroadcaster of CFCN-TV-1), currently licensed to The Oyen and District Television Association (The Association).
The Association has requested that the CFON-TV-1 licence be revoked. The residents of Oyen will continue to receive CTV affiliate service as a result of this amendment to the CFCN-TV licence.

9. MEDICINE HAT AND ETZIKOM, Alberta
Application (920655800) by the CANADIAN BROADCASTING CORPORATION to amend the broadcasting licence to carry on the (radio) programming undertaking for CBR Calgary, Alberta, by adding an FM retransmitter at Medicine Hat, operating on a frequency of 98.3 MHz with an effective radiated power of 3,000 watts and by adding an FM retransmitter at Etzikom, operating on a frequency of 92.1 MHz with an effective radiated power of 1,114 watts.
It is noted that the proposed two new FM retransmitters will replace the existing retransmitter CJMH-AM Medicine Hat, which is currently licensed to Monarch Broadcasting Ltd. Monarch will surrender its licence for CJMH-AM Medicine hat, when the two transmitters become operational.
