The Commission has received the following applications:

1. LES ESCOUMINS, Quebec
|
Application (920077500) by RADIO ESSIPIT HAUTE-COTE-NORD INC. to amend the broadcasting licence to carry on the type B, Native (radio) programming undertaking CHME-FM Les Escoumins as follows:
|
- by relocating the antenna site presently located on the north shore of the St. Lawrence River to a site situated 48°06'40", 69°01'27" on the south shore of the St. Lawrence River at Sainte-Françoise, Quebec.
|
- by changing the frequency from 95.1 MHz to 94.9 MHz; and
|
- by increasing the effective radiated power from 12 to 567 watts.
|
The applicant states that these changes will extend the coverage area in order to reach listeners along the Haute Côte-Nord. CHME-FM would then become a regional station.

Application (920283900) by TABER CABLE TELEVISION LTD., c/o Monarch Cable TV Ltd., 101 Carry Drive South East, Medicine Hat, Alberta, T1B 3M6, to amend the broadcasting licence to carry on the (cable) distribution undertaking serving Bow Island, by adding a condition of licence allowing the licensee to distribute at its option, as part of the basic service, the programming services of WDIV-TV (NBC) and WTVS-TV (PBS) Detroit, Michigan received via satellite from the Canadian Satellite Communications Inc. (CANCOM) network.
