The Commission has already granted an extension of the time limit to implement the aforementioned authority from 21 September 1991 to 21 May 1992.

Application (920113800) by the CANADIAN BROADCASTING CORPORATION to amend the broadcasting licence to carry on the radio programming undertaking for CHFC Churchill, by decreasing the transmitter power from 1,000 to 250 watts.

|
An increase in the day-time and night-time transmitter power from 250 to 1,000 watts had been approved in Decision 85-58 dated 28 January 1985. The licensee never implemented the authority, therefore this reduction in power will not affect the present coverage of the station.

Application (912923000) by WESTCOM TV GROUP LTD., 780 King's Road, Victoria, British Columbia, V8T 5A2, to amend the broadcasting licence to carry on the radiocommunication distribution undertaking for CHEK-TV-1 Sooke, by increasing the transmitter power from 5 to 10 watts and by relocating the transmitter approximately 7 kilometres to the southwest of the present site (on Mount Quimper) to the CBC site on Mount McGuire.

The Department of Communications has advised that the proposed increase in power and change in transmitter site will not result in any significant change to the coverage area.
|
