Application (911866200) by MACLEAN HUNTER LIMITED, operating under the name of Maclean Hunter Cable TV, 80 Worcester Road, Etobicoke, Ontario, M9W 1K7, to change the broadcasting licence to carry on the cable distribution undertaking serving North Bay, as follows:

a) by deleting the authorized distribution of CHOT-TV (TVA) Hull, Quebec received via microwave, on the basic service; and
|
b) by allowing the licensee to distribute, at its option, as part of the basic service, the programming service of CFTM-TV (TVA) Montréal, Quebec received via satellite from the Canadian Satellite Communications Inc. (CANCOM) network.
|
While the addition of the CANCOM signal will result in an increase of 0.05¢ in the monthly fee, in accordance with subsection 18(3) of the Cable Television Regulations, 1986, the applicant states that subscribers will benefit from improved signal quality and reliability.
