Decision

Ottawa, 30 August 1991
Decision CRTC 91-690
Rawlco Communications Ltd., on behalf of a company to be incorporated
Regina and Saskatoon, Saskatchewan - 910442300 - 910443100 - 910444900 - 910445600
Following a Public Hearing in the National Capital Region beginning on 8 July 1991, the Commission approves the applications for authority to acquire the assets of CJME and CIZL-FM Regina, and CKOM and CFMC-FM Saskatoon and for broadcasting licences to continue the operation of these undertakings, upon surrender of the current licences issued to Rawlco Communications Ltd., under the same terms and conditions as the current licences.
The Commission will issue licences to Rawlco Communications Ltd., on behalf of a company to be incorporated, expiring 31 August 1992 for CIZL-FM and CFMC-FM, and 31 August 1995 for CJME and CKOM, upon surrender of the current licences. The authorities granted herein are subject to the same conditions as those specified in the current licences as well as to any other condition specified in this decision and in the licences to be issued. The Commission notes that the transaction proposed within these applications represents an intra-corporate reorganization that does not alter the control or management
of the licensee.
It is a condition of each licence that the applicant adhere to the guidelines on sex-role portrayal set out in the Canadian Association of Broadcasters' (CAB) Sex-Role Portrayal Code for Television and Radio Programming, as amended from time to time and approved by the Commission.
It is also a condition of each licence that the applicant adhere to the provisions of the CAB's Broadcast Code for Advertising to Children, as amended from time to time and approved by the Commission.
Allan J. Darling
Secretary General
