The Commission has received the following applications:
1. DARTMOUTH, Nova Scotia
Application (903235000) by NEWCAP BROADCASTING LIMITED, P.O. Box 1007, Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, B2Y 3Z7 to amend a condition of the licence of the broadcasting transmitting undertaking for CFRQ-FM Dartmouth, by increasing the use of hits from 40% to 49.9% of all category 5 musical selections, and to delete from the Promise of Performance the requirement to broadcast hits in the current/recent/past ratio of 30/40/30. The licensee proposes a current/recent/past ratio of 20/20/60 for all music broadcast, as stated in the Description of Programming.

Application (902790500) by TELEMEDIA COMMUNICATIONS ONTARIO INC. to amend the Promise of Performance of CKAT-FM North Bay:
- by changing the format from Group III (country) to Group I (POP and soft rock). The licensee will move the country format to CFCH, North Bay;
- by reducing the amount of spoken-word programming from 25 hours 25 minutes to 19 hours 18 minutes per week;
- by reducing the amount of news content from 7 hours 30 minutes to 5 hours 49 minutes per week;
- by reducing the amount of traditional and special interest music from 7 hours 45 minutes to 5 hours per week; and
- by reducing the distinct number of musical selections broadcast each week from 1000 to 900.
