The Commission has received the following applications:
1. OTTAWA, Ontario

Application (900145400) by RAWLCO COMMUNICATIONS LTD. for authority to utilize the frequency of 100.3 MHz (Channel 262) at Ottawa, with an effective radiated power of 80,000 watts to provide English-language FM radio programming approved in Decision CRTC 89-833 dated 9 November 1989

This proposal is predicated upon moving Channel 262 from Brockville to Ottawa, Ontario.

Application (903191500) by RADIO 1540 LIMITED to amend the licence to carry on the broadcasting transmitting undertaking for CHIN-FM Toronto, by using Subsidiary Communications Multiplex Operations (SCMO) subcarrier for the purpose of:

- adding the distribution of predominately South Asian language programming including Hindi, Punjabi and Urdu.

3. NELSON, British Columbia

Application (910088400) by FOUR SEASONS RADIO LTD., 2419 Highway 97 North, Kelowna, British Columbia, V1X 4J2, to amend the licence to carry on the broadcasting transmitting undertaking for CKKC Nelson as follows:

- by changing the frequency from 1390 to 880 kHz;

- by changing the location of the transmitter site half a kilometre away from the existing site; and

- by reducing the night-time power from 1000 to 700 watts.

The Department of Communications has advised that the proposed day-time operation should provide an overall increase in coverage and service in all directions and the proposed night-time coverage will be slightly less than the existing night-time coverage.
