Decision

Ottawa, 7 October 1991
Decision CRTC 91-798
Ear Falls T.V. Committee
Ear Falls, Ontario - 902738400
Following a Public Hearing in the National Capital Region beginning on 8 July 1991, the Commission renews the licence for the radiocommunication distribution undertaking (MTV) serving Ear Falls and the broadcasting licence for CIER-TV Ear Falls, from 1 November 1991 to 31 August 1996, subject to the conditions specified in this decision and in the licences to be issued.
This term will enable the Commission to consider the renewal of these licences at the same time as that of other undertakings in the area.
The licensee is authorized to continue to distribute on the MTV undertaking the programs of CHAN-TV Vancouver, CHCH-TV Hamilton, CITV-TV Edmonton and CFTM-TV Montréal, received via satellite from the CANCOM network.
It is a condition of CIER-TV's licence that the licensee not be required to adhere to the requirements of section 10 of the Television Broadcasting Regulations, 1987, with regard to the retention of program logs or records.
