Radio Communautaire Kapnord Inc., Kapuskasing, Ontario - 901218800
Following a Public Hearing in the National Capital Region beginning on 24 September 1990, the Commission approves the application for an experimental broadcasting licence for a French-language FM community radio station at Kapuskasing, on the frequency 91.5 MHz, channel 218, with an effective radiated power of 33 watts to broadcast on 19, 20 and 21 October 1990 local programming consisting of a radiothon designed to encourage community interest in the establishment of a French-language community radio station.
The Commission will issue a licence, the term of which will be 19 to 21 October 1990, subject to the conditions specified in this decision and in the licence to be issued.
It is a condition of licence that the applicant devote not more than 20% of the station's total broadcasting time to advertising, in accordance with the community radio policy for Type A stations. In accordance with paragraph 13(1)(b) of the Broadcasting Act, the Commission will issue a licence to the applicant if it is in receipt of written notification from the Department of Communications that it will issue a Broadcasting Certificate.
