Decision

Ottawa, 20 February 1990
Decision CRTC 90-99
La Coopérative de Câblodistribution des Éboulements
Les Éboulements, Quebec - 894556000
Pursuant to Public Notice CRTC 1990-1 dated 5 January 1990, the Commission approves the request by La Coopérative de Câblodistribution des Éboulements to be relieved, by condition of licence, from the requirement of section 22 of the Cable Television Regulations, 1986, that it distribute the priority local service CIVB-TV-1 Grand-Fonds, Quebec. The licensee proposes to distribute instead, at its option, the signal of CIVM-TV Montreal, received via satellite, which provides the same programming as its rebroadcaster CIVB-TV-1.
In approving this application, the Commission has taken into consideration the licensee's argument that the reception quality of CIVB-TV-1 is poor because of the topography of the area which the undertaking serves.
Fernand Bélisle
Secretary General
