Decision

Ottawa, 24 August 1990
Decision CRTC 90-806
Different Drummer Communications Inc.
Mississauga, Ontario - 883588600
Pursuant to Public Notice CRTC 1990-64 dated 28 June 1990, the Commission approves the application to amend the broadcasting licence for CFMX-FM-1 Mississauga by increasing the effective radiated power from 19,100 watts to 43,100 watts. The licensee also proposes to upgrade channel 242 (96.3 MHz) from its present limited Class 'B' parameters to Class 'C' parameters with some limitations.
The licensee has indicated that this increase in power should improve the quality of the signal within its present coverage area, and particularly in the downtown area of Toronto.
The Commission notes the intervention from Norman May of Toronto in support of this application.
Alain-F. Desfossés
Secretary General
