Decision

Ottawa, 15 August 1990
Decision CRTC 90-741
Coopérative de Câblodistribution de Larouche
Larouche, Quebec - 894438100
Following a Public Hearing in the National Capital Region beginning on 11 June 1990, the Commission renews the licence for the broadcasting receiving undertaking serving Larouche, held by Coopérative de Câblodistribution de Larouche, from 1 September 1990 to 31 August 1995. The operation of this undertaking is regulated pursuant to Parts I and III of the Cable Television Regulations, 1986 (the regulations) and the licence will be subject to the conditions specified in this decision and in the licence to be issued.
The Commission also approves, by condition of licence, the licensee's request to be relieved of the requirement of paragraph 22(1)(b) of the regulations with respect to the distribution of regional service CBJET (CBC) Chicoutimi, in view of the poor reception quality of the signal as confirmed by the Department of Communications (DOC).
The Commission notes that the CBC withdrew its intervention in light of the DOC report.
