Ottawa, 28 February 1990
Decision CRTC 90-211
Radio La Pocatière Ltée
La Pocatière and Saint-Pamphile, Quebec - 893575100
Following a Public Hearing in Quebec City beginning 5 December 1989, the Commission renews the broadcasting licence for CHGB La Pocatière and its rebroadcaster CHAL Saint-Pamphile from 1 March 1990 to 28 February 1991 subject to the conditions set out in the licence to be issued.
This licence is renewed for a one-year period, as proposed by the licensee and stated in Decision CRTC 90-210 dated today, in which the Commission approves an application by CIBM-FM Mont-Bleu Ltée to operate an FM radio station in La Pocatière which will replace the AM service provided by CHGB. The Commission encourages CHGB to continue its production of local programs until the new FM station commences operation.
The Commission acknowledges the interventions submitted by Radio MF Charlevoix Inc. and the CBC.
