Decision

Ottawa, 21 December 1990
Decision CRTC 90-1156
Cablestrie Inc.
Notre-Dame-du-Bon-Conseil, Quebec - 900873100
Following a Public Hearing in the National Capital Region beginning on 27 November 1990, the Commission approves the application for authority to acquire the assets of the broadcasting receiving undertaking serving Notre-Dame-du-Bon-Conseil from La Belle Vision Inc., and for a broadcasting licence to continue the operation of this undertaking, under the same terms and conditions as the current licence.
The Commission will issue a licence to Cablestrie Inc. expiring 31 August 1994, upon surrender of the current licence. The operation of this undertaking is regulated pursuant to Parts I and III of the Cable Television Regulations, 1986 (the regulations). The authority granted herein is subject to the same conditions as those specified in the current licence as well as any other condition that may be specified in this decision and in the licence to be issued.
The Commission notes that this transaction will not result in any change of control since both companies involved are owned by Cogeco Télécom Inc., which is owned by Cogeco Inc.
Consistent with Decision CRTC 89-695 dated 14 September 1989 and pursuant to section 23 of the regulations, it is a condition of licence that the licensee be relieved of the requirement that it distribute at least four television programming services delivered to its local head end by a network operator licensed to extend television and radio services to remote and underserved communities, at least one of which must be a Canadian television programming service.

Secretary General
