Further to Public Notice CRTC 1986-67, a number of FM radio stations have obtained the Commission's approval to broadcast the 55% or 60% level of French-language Vocal Music (FVM). The Commission did approve this temporary reduction for the following stations:

In its Public Notice 1988-84, the Commission postponed its assessment of the availability of French-language recordings to June 1989. No date has been set, as yet, for a public hearing concerning French-language Vocal Music, even though the authorization to reduce the French-language Popular Music level lapsed on 31 March 1989, or will lapse as of 31 August 1989. The licensees listed in appendix have therefore filed applications for an extension, by condition of licence, of their authority ot 30 June 1990 or any other date which may be determined by the Commission further to its assessment.

Intervention
|
|
- submit your original written intervention to the Secretary General of the Commission (CRTC, Ottawa, K1A 0N2);
|
|
- your intervention must clearly indicate if you support or if you oppose the application and if you wish to appear at the public hearing, if such is the case;
|
|
- a true copy MUST be sent to the applicant and a proof of such sending must accompany the original sent to the Commission;
|
|
- the intervention must be received by the CRTC and by the applicant on or before the deadline date indicated below. The Commission cannot take into consideration, nor can it be held responsible for postal delays;
|
|
